The Weather

Besides the fact that southern Oregon is one of the most beautiful places on earth you also have a great climate! Only an hour from the California border, you get to enjoy the mild weather. Southern Oregon’s average annual maximum temperature is 68 degrees with a minimum of precipitation.

The Art

With Ashland being the cultural capital of southern Oregon, the year-round Shakespeare Festival (pictured left) and Schneider Museum of Art are just a few attractions that contribute to southern Oregon’s rich culture.

The Wine Country

With over 150 wineries painting the landscape of the region, southern Oregonians enjoy their sunny days tasting variations of the state’s red wines. If beer is your beverage of choice, southern Oregon is home to many craft breweries such as Southern Oregon Brewing Co. and the famous Rogue Ales.

The Nature

While the hustle and bustle of southern Oregon’s newly booming economy might not be your thing, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature in the proximity of the city. Located just under 90 miles from downtown Medford, Crater Lake (pictured left) is a popular hiking destination for Oregonians. Not to mention it is one of the 7 Wonders of Oregon.

The Coast

If the feel of the ocean is more of your style, just head west from Grants Pass on a quick trip and visit the little coastal town of Gold Beach where the pacific meets the rogue. Brookings is also nestled in the southern corner of the state, offering golden sand beaches and whispering seaside cliffs. But do not forget to stop by The Oregon Caves in Junction City on your way!

For Family

Raise your kids in a wholesome environment where they can enjoy southern Oregon’s beauty and fun alongside you! From the Ashland Art Center and Scienceworks Hands-On Museum to the Rusk Ranch Nature Center and Rogue Air Trampoline Park, the entertainment is endless here.
